Omosehin, New Insurance Commissioner Takes Over At NAICOM

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Halima Kyari as Chairperson  of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM)

In a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, presidential spokesman, Tinubu has equally appointed Olusegun Ayo Omosehin as the new Commissioner for Insurance. He replaces Sunday Thomas who was appointed in 2020.

Others are Olawoye Gam-Ikon Deputy Commissioner (Technical Operations) while Usman Ankara Jimada is the Deputy Commissioner (Finance & Administration)

Other members of the Board are Miriam Kene Kachikwu, Adeniyi Olusegun Fabikun and Umar Khalifa Mohammed.

The President expects the new Board of the National Insurance Commission to exercise utmost probity as it leads the commission in ensuring a safe, sound, and stable insurance sector, while protecting policyholders, the public interest, and improving trust and confidence in the sector.
