A court in Austria on Wednesday condemned a man who sent his ex 7,648 instant messages inside a month and a half to a half year in jail.
The 33-year-old Romanian national was accused of stalking and making dangerous threats.
The man and his wife separated earlier this year after six years of marriage.
The man responded to the separation by sending a torrent of messages, incorporating 50 in which he debilitated the lady.
The ex-wife told the court she didn’t believe he would really assault her.
The judge asked the defendant how he had figured out how to send such huge numbers of messages – a normal of around 190 a day – and keep his activity at the same time.
He composed for the most part during the evening, the man answered the judge.
