The First Lady of Ondo State, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has debunked reports of her attack at the polling unit during the governorship election.
Channels Television and some media had alleged that the first lady was attacked on Saturday.
Anyanwu-Akeredolu, in an interview with journalists, described the fake news as “absurd and insane”.
She said, “Its shows how desperate people can be, I am here with you in my country home and somebody is there sharing fake video.”
In its defense, the Channels TV took to its twitter page @channelstv to tag the video as fake news saying the video was doctored and not part of Channels Television’s coverage of the Ondo 2020 Governorship Election.
“The events playing out in the video is from an incident in Delta State two years ago,” the electronic medium said.
