The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) on Monday said no going back on its planned nationwide strike from tomorrow, 14th of November.
This is as the unions on Monday directed its members to mobilise for strike action over the assault on NLC president, Joe Ajaero in line with the resolutions of the National Executive Council.
President of TUC, Festus Osifo, who addressed reporters on Monday, November 13, 2023 said the strike would remain until “government at all levels wake up to their responsibility.”
Recall that Comrade Ajaero was attacked and beaten when he visited Imo state capital Owerri in solidarity with workers who had declared protest last week over failure of Governor Hope Uzodimma to clear the backlog of salaries.
