Kano APC Ward Leaders To Serve 6-month Suspension Over Ganduje’s Alleged Suspension
The All Progressives Congress, (APC), State Working Committee (SWC) in Kano, has suspended
The Ward Leaders of the Kano branch of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), who suspended the National Chairman of the Party, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje are to serve six months suspension.
The state Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Abbas, while addressing newsmen in his office shortly after an emergency meeting of the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party accused Inusa Sulaiman Dawanau, and his cohorts for anti party activities.
The tough talking Abbas said ”we have it on good authority that this group of disloyal members has been hobnobbying with the ruling NNPP administration in the state to destabilise the party.
He revealed that ”We have evidence of meetings between the state government officials and those that suspended the National Chairman, and state working committee has agreed to sanction them for six months and they stand for suspended”.
Abbas said that they have since adopted the recommendation, and the decisions of the Local Government Party Leaders to suspend the errant ward officials, while the party at the State level are now investigating the anti party activities of the culprits.
Earlier, the Chairman APC Ganduje’s ward, Inusa Suleiman Dawanau had announced suspension of the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje over alleged corruption.
The legal Adviser to the party at Ward level Halliru Gwanjo said they decided to suspend Dr Ganduje from the party due to the allegations levels against him by Kano state Government on bribery , and suspension started on Wednesday.
An attempt to get the Media and Publicity Department of APC at the National Secretariat to speak on the issue proved abortive as they are hesitant to comment when contacted by journalists.
