The Independent National Electoral Commission has begun the distribution of sensitive electoral materials for Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo State.

The materials were moved from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) headquarters in Akure to the 18 local government areas of the State.

Local and international observers were at the venue of the distribution of the sensitive materials.

The Resident Electoral Commission in the state, Rufus Akeju, said the materials would reach the 18 local government areas of the state by Friday.

He added that the early distribution of the sensitive materials would help INEC towards dispatching materials to the polling units on election day.

There are 17 political parties participating in the Ondo State’s governorship election.
