The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate Rotimi Akeredolu and his Wife, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, arrived Polling Unit 6, Ward 5 at Isokub in the Ijebu Owo area of Ondo state at 9:37am to cast their ballots in the Ondo State Governorship Election.

The governor and the first lady cast their ballots at about 9:45am.

Akeredolu, while addressing journalists after casting his vote, was optimistic of a victory for his party saying God will give him victory.

Although he admitted that the early morning rain disrupted the exercise, he however noted that the people are coming out to exercise their constitutional rights.

Akeredolu said, “I am confident about winning this election. I have always said that mine is about God. I know that God in his infinite mercy will give me victory. My confidence is in God.

“My advice to the voters is to go, stay, cast your vote, move out of the place but don’t move too fast and ensure that you protect your votes so that your votes can be counted,” he added.
